University and more

When I started this journey back in April I  was recovering from illness and limited in the amount of exercise and daily activity I could undertake. My daily activity has increased slowly, but my weightloss over the last month has been come to a standstill (bad food choices and lack of effort!).  Well yesterday I returned to university to undertake my final year (hopefully I’ll get to finish it this time as long as my body keeps up its recovery).  By the end of yesterday I was aching - and I realised i’d spent almost an hour of lunch walking round the campus getting a few things sorted out.  Today I had to go to my tutorial which is on a different campus - you can get the bus there, but not back.  Then tonight I got the bus to go to my meditation class and the bus goes flying past my stop (apparently all the stops on that road are out of order at the moment) so i’m left with a longer walk and less time to get there - there was nothing for it but speed walking!  So despite my lack of organised exercise and recent bad food choices, my return to uni has brought with it a need to plan my meals more strictly, a natural increase in my daily activity and a desire to get planned exercise back into my routine.  At the moment things are looking good!

Yay, Jordan! I have been having some of the same issues. It makes school even more valuable for me. I feel like I am learning on two levels…one is a scholastic level and one is at a life level.

I am glad to be walking a similar path as you… we can totally do it!

    Great job JC.
Sometimes we seek out the exercise regimen and sometimes it seeks us! I had a day like yours a couple of weeks ago when I found myself a couple of miles from my destination without a ride.
Good luck in school this year!

Small changes, make big results. Change slowly and it will become habit. Keep plugging.
